Terry Goodkind is a New York Times best-selling American fantasy author, known for the world of Richard and Kahlan. His classic fantasy novel, Wizard’s First Rule – The Sword of Truth is an amazing story. Due to its subject and genre, it was often compared to J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Lord of The Rings (the latter is an absolute classic and does have a more exquisite language, true; but Goodkind’s novel is a great story with colourful characters).
Wizard’s First Rule is set in a fictitious world. The protagonist, Richard Cypher has a task as any hero of a classic fantasy story: he needs to save his world, the Westland, since its barrier is about to collapse. He also has helpers: a secretive lady (who else), and an old man. The enemy is going to open the three boxes of Orden – if it happens, Richard Cypher’s world is lost…
