Scott Sigler - Ancestor, An Awesome Science Fiction Thriller

Scott Sigler is a great science fiction thriller writer. In his chilling and riveting sci-fi thriller Ancestor he plays with a familiar idea - scientific experiments get out of hand.

Ancestor is set in a modern-day world. Genada, a firm that experiments with genetics, creates a proto-mammal, a thing that is similar to the species from which all mammalian creatures origin. The scientists of Genada are in a hurry, since the government is about to stop them. Liu Jian Den, the leading scientist, makes a desperate attempt to get a spectacular result, and succeeds too well: the genetically manipulated embryos grow too big, they eat themselves out of the incubators and start hunting down the scientists who stuck on the island of Lake Superior...
Ancestor is highly recommended, and not only for the horror fans who love monster stories like Alligator. Ancestor is a well-written novel, with alive, believable characters and full of tension.
